He was wounded for the 3rd time while leading his company ear Wancourt during the battle of Arras & died next day at No.20 Casualty Clearing Station. Thursday 12-04-1917. Age 27. Son of John Harper & Margaret Clark Williamson of "The Bungalow" Tal-y-cafn, Denbighshire, UK. Born 19-09-1889 at Fallowfield, Manchester. Educated at Parkhurst School, Buxton & King William's College, Isle of Wight. Native of Manchester, UK. He is also remembered at Manchester Municipal College of Technology Memorial & on the War Memorial, Oundle, Northamptonshire. His brother, Second Lieutenant Kenneth Harper Williamson of "B" Company, 7th Battalion, King's Royal Rifle Corps, died 19-04-1917 & is buried at Etaples Military Cemetery, Pas-de-Calais, France. He had previously served with Hawke Battalion, Royal Naval Division, at Galipolli & had been wounded in June 1915. Stone Inscription :- "Born At Manchester 19th Sept.1889".
