Died of wounds received in action when he was hit by a rifle grenade. 26-09-1918. Age 27. Son of Andrew Kirkwood McCosh & Mary S. McCosh of Cairnhill, Airdrie, UK. Born 14-12-1890 at Airdrie. Major McCosh MC, OC "B" Company who was the only serving officer of the original battalion who had been continuously serving with the battalion was severely wounded. Capt. McCosh died at CCS. Also remembered on the war memorial at Coulter, South Lanarkshire. Stone Inscription :- "Greater Love Hath No Man Than This That A Man Lay Down His Life For His Friends".
