EYRE, Charles Howard. Lieutenant. 6th (Reserve) Battalion, Attached :- 2nd Battalion, King's Royal Rifle Corps. Dud Corner Cemetery, Loos, Pas-de-Calais, France. Killed in action while leading his company against the German wire. Saturday 25-09-1915. Youngest son of the late Archdeacon of Sheffield & Mrs. Eyre.

Son of Lieutenant Colonel Edward. Nash (late Essex Regiment) & Mrs. Nash of 56, Sloane Street, London, UK. His brother Captain Edward Radcliffe Nash, of 16th (The Queen's) Lancers died 21-02-1915 aged 26 (born 9th June 8888) & is buried at Ypres Town Cemetery, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium.(Killed in action at Hooge). Stone Inscription :- "Younger Son Of Col. & Mrs. Nash Mortally Wounded In The Battle Of Loos".

He was wounded while defending against a German attack near Ghelevekt &.died next day at No.13 Stationary Hospital, Boulogne. Sunday 01-11-1914. Age 27. Son of the Hon. Duncombe & Mrs Pleydell-Bouverie of Coleshill House, Wiltshire, UK. Born 12-07-1887 & educated at Eton & Sandhurst.His family had lived in Coleshill since 1666 & had owned the Church for over 500 years The Church is now owned by the National Trust. Also remembered at All Saints Church, Coleshill, Oxfordshire. Stone Inscription :- "Died Of Wounds Received At Gheluvelr In The Ypres Salient Oct 31."
