Age 21. Son of Lieutenant Colonel R.W. McKergow MBE.MFH. & Mrs. J.E.M. McKergow of Twineham Grange, Twineham, Sussex, UK. Born on 13th February 1898. Educated at Rottingdean School & Uppingham. Note :- Another plane from 29 Squadron RFC, piloted by a Canadian officer, 2nd Lieutenant John MacHaffie was shot down by a German Gotha machine, & fell onto the machine piloted by 2nd Lieutenant McKergow.
