Kitchener New Army Battalion, (K4). Formed in Felixstowe in October 1914 as a Service Battalion. Converted to a Reserve Battalion on 10th April 1915.

Died of wounds. 12-05-1916. Age 22. Son of Henry John & Emily Telfer of Elgin Court, Maida Vale, London, UK. Native of St. Albans, Hertfordshire, UK. When war broke out, he attested on 15th August 1914 as Gunner 812 of the 4th East Anglian Brigade of the Royal Field Artilley. He was commissioned into the 9th (Service) Battalion, Bedfordshire Regiment on the 24th January 1915. Stone Inscription :-"In Proud And Loving Memory Of A Devoted Son".
