Clark, (not CLARKE) (MC). Albert Victor Second Lieutenant. 5th Battalion, Attached To :- 4th (Extra Reserve) Battalion, Bedfordshire Regiment. Rocquigny-Equancourt Road British Cemetery, Manancourt, Somme, France. Died of wounds, (Gas). 02-01-1918. Initially enlisted as a Private in the Essex Regiment and was commissioned in July 1917. He and two other officers were gassed while the battalion was holding trenches at Villers Plouch and Second Lieutenant Clark died later.
