Kitchener New Army Battalion, (K2). Formed at Berwick-on-Tweed in September 1914. At Bethune, Pas-de-Calais, on 28th May 1916, the 7th (Service) battalion & the 8th (Service) Battalion merged to form the 7th/8th Battalion.
