His brother Second Lieutenant Gerald Montague Gray of 3rd Battalion, Attached to 6th Battalion, Queen's Own (Royal West Kent Regiment), died on 07-10-1916 aged 20 and is remembered on the Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France.
Stone Inscription :- "Also In Memory Of Second Lieut. G.M. Gray Royal West Kent Regt. 7th Oct. 1916 At Gueudecourt".
